Marsh McLelland, a retired Superior Court judge, said in a letter dated Sept. 8 that the court\u2019s refusal to review the cases \u2018is legally and morally reprehensible.\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">\u201cMcLelland\u2019s letter to Chief Justice Burley Mitchell said the refusal to review a Court of Appeals order for a new trial raised the term technicality to new heights&#8230;.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"style360\" style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>\u2013 From \u201cJudge quits Little Rascals case\u201d from the Associated Press (Sept. 22, 1995)<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">I imagine that the \u201ctechnicality\u201d comment was from a direct quote, although I haven\u2019t been able to find either McLelland\u2019s original letter or a more substantial account.
