No Little Rascals on Edenton&#8217;s Wiki page?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"style361\" style=\"text-align: right;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1311\" src=\"http:\/\/www.littlerascalsdaycarecase.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/140912Edenton.jpg\" alt=\"140912Edenton\" width=\"260\" height=\"358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.littlerascalsdaycarecase.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/140912Edenton.jpg 260w, https:\/\/www.littlerascalsdaycarecase.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/140912Edenton-218x300.jpg 218w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 260px) 100vw, 260px\" \/>Sept. 12, 2014<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">Edenton has been the scene of many historic events \u2013 the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/northcarolinahistory.org\/encyclopedia\/edenton-tea-party\/\" target=\"_blank\">Edenton Tea Party<\/a>, the escape of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.harrietjacobs.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Harriet Jacobs<\/a>, etc. \u2013 but surely nothing happened there in the entire 20th Century more significant than the Little Rascals Day Care case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">So why is the case not even mentioned on Edenton\u2019s Wikipedia page?<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">On Sept. 28, 2013, a rogue editor\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/w\/index.php?title=Edenton,_North_Carolina&amp;diff=619122652&amp;oldid=574895909\" target=\"_blank\">abruptly removed<\/a>\u00a0a passage similar to this one:<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cEdenton achieved international notoriety for the Little Rascals Day Care sexual abuse trial, the subject of journalist Ofra Bikel\u2019s award-winning trilogy of documentaries&#8230;.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">Wikipedia entries are intentionally easy to edit, but the process leaves fingerprints.<br \/>\nThe person whose name is attached to the Little Rascals deletion turns out to be an innkeeper in Edenton.
