Pat McCrory on Thursday pardoned two half-brothers who were exonerated of murder after spending three decades in prison.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">\u201cThe governor took nine months to make the decision&#8230;.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"auto-style45\"><em>\u2013 From \u201c<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsobserver.com\/news\/politics-government\/article23091657.html\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Governor pardons McCollum, Brown<\/em><\/a><em>\u201d by Craig Jarvis\u00a0in the Raleigh News &amp; Observer\u00a0 (June 4)<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">Henry McCollum and Leon Brown, both intellectually disabled and now destitute, had been declared innocent last year by a Superior Court judge. But that exoneration, based on DNA evidence from the crime scene,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.littlerascalsdaycarecase.org\/?p=1420\">wasn\u2019t good enough for the governor<\/a>, and even now the statement accompanying his pardon of innocence is lukewarm at best:<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">\u201cIt is difficult for anyone to know for certain what happened the night of Sabrina Buie\u2019s murder&#8230;.
