(1993)<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">Steinem\u2019s semi-autobiography was a best-seller, both profiting from and contributing to the nation\u2019s heightened concern with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/books.google.com\/ngrams\/graph?content=self-esteem&amp;year_start=1950&amp;year_end=2008&amp;corpus=17&amp;smoothing=3&amp;share=&amp;direct_url=t1%3B%2Cself%20-%20esteem%3B%2Cc0\" target=\"_blank\">self-esteem<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">In addition to using Ms. magazine to tout the existence of \u201c<a
