The community\u2019s priority, he explained, should be to support the children. Hundreds of children had escaped sexual assault, he claimed, because of the publicity about the McMartin case.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"style360\" style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>\u2013 From \u201c<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=V1rogCrcOMwC&amp;dq=%22childhood+sexual+abuse%22+kinnear&amp;source=gbs_navlinks_s\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Childhood Sexual Abuse: A Reference Handbook<\/em><\/a><em>\u201d by Karen L.
