{"id":626,"date":"2012-09-07T15:38:10","date_gmt":"2012-09-07T15:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.littlerascalsdaycarecase.org\/?p=626"},"modified":"2015-12-31T15:45:34","modified_gmt":"2015-12-31T15:45:34","slug":"city-sidewalks-busy-sidewalks-an-upbeat-dispatch-from-the-dnc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.littlerascalsdaycarecase.org\/?p=626","title":{"rendered":"City sidewalks, busy sidewalks: An upbeat dispatch from the DNC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"style187\" style=\"text-align: right;\">Sept. 7, 2012<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">Having met with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.littlerascalsdaycarecase.org\/?p=623\">less than overwhelming interest<\/a>\u00a0earlier in the week in front of the bustling Charlotte Convention Center, I narrowed my focus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">Thursday I situated my \u201cExonerate\u201d placard at the entrance to the peripheral and unhurried Crowne Plaza hotel, convention headquarters for the North Carolina Democratic Party, and our message was well received (except for an overly territorial security guard).<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">Not only did several delegates express support for the Edenton Seven, but also a dozen or so more took cards with the site address. And I was able to bend the ears of reporters from Greensboro, Rocky Mount and the Outer Banks, as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style184\">Yes, the delegates are mostly ordinary folks, not influential officials \u2013 I didn\u2019t see Gov.
