Too little prudence, too much hubris?<\/p>\n<p>Yes, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/01\/01\/us\/pentagon-curbs-use-of-psychologists-with-guantanamo-detainees.html\" target=\"_blank\">Pentagon\u2019s recent recognition<\/a>\u00a0of the American Psychological Association\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/07\/31\/us\/psychologists-group-may-quit-role-in-questioning-of-terror-suspects.html\" target=\"_blank\">disavowal<\/a> of practices at Guantanamo brings to mind a different kind of \u201cenhanced interrogation\u201d \u2013 no waterboarding, but just as corrupt.<\/p>\n<p>The Little Rascals prosecution\u2019s well-paid and single-minded therapists seem to have recognized no ethical barriers in extracting phony claims from the children they interrogated so relentlessly.
